Posh&Becks
• Reward others for their inquisitiveness
• Be tangible and physical as well as aesthetic
• Undermine collected conventions and expectations
• Give voices to the unheard, to show the unseen
• Non formal, relaxed approach to work and promotion. do not force it, let things grow organically (I like this one, good one Becks.)
• Create something to inspire.
• To not discredit any medium.
• Create for the brief and not for yourself.
• Communicate between ourselves and with others effectively.
• Think laterally.

This is worth going along to - A good chance to see what the heavyweights are up to.
In Japanese, the word for "copy" is the same as the word for "learn" ....
Keep up the good work!

JOE & JIMMY - WEEK 2 - PROJECT BRIEF
Hello
We hope you enjoyed yesterdays Peckham Tour. At the bottom of this post, we have links to all the galleries you visited.
As mentioned yesterday, we would like each group to write a 10 point manifesto.
Here is a link to wikipedia -
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Art_manifesto
You will need to get together in groups and discuss this – but it shouldn’t be too time consuming. This need only be in bullet-point form (at this stage). Feel free to post your manifesto onto the blog so that everyone can see.
The next stage of the project is as follows. You should begin work on this immediately. This will carry on until the end of the project. Please choose ONE of the options below. These are guidelines.
1 – Exhibition Proposal
Using your manifesto as a starting point, we’d like you to put together a detailed proposal for an exhibition. This may be an exhibition that takes place later in the year. It may be an exhibition that never happens. This can be an attempt to redefine the common view of an exhibition. This can be a publication, a film, a discussion.
2 – Exhibition
Using your manifesto, organise an exhibition. This can take place anywhere. You will need to find/make work to put in your exhibition. It should be fully documented. You should also consider making a catalogue / invites / publication.
3 - Visual Journal / Research Publication
A report / document / visual diary of the 4 weeks. You may choose to focus upon the galleries you have visited / researched, and the curators you have heard speaking. Alternatively, you could focus on collaboration itself. A report into collaborative working practice (your own?). Perhaps this could also be exhibited?
4 – All of the above / Your own idea (email us)
Next Week - Project Presentations
We will look at your work next Monday, and discuss it. This will be in your groups, at set times. We will post times and places on the blog later this week.
If you have any questions, email us, or post them onto the blog. As we mentioned outside the Tate, this project is your project. It is a chance to make a project you want to make. It is about collaboration. It is important.

OUR MANIFESTO
We are looking to achieve these 10 points within the 4 weeks of this project.
1... To provide a space that can fit into any situation.
2... To use 20x10 as a unit or element to apply to the things in the space.
3... To experiment with creating our own space in an already existing one.
4... To incorporate different dimensions to the inside or outside of a space or object.
5... To use the dimensions of the space provided as a shell to its interior.
6... To have no surfaces, just boundaries.
7... To use all planes of the space. Floors, ceilings, walls.
8... To include the audience in the space and get them involved.
9... To translate two-dimensional design into three-dimensional design.
10...To invest in the relationship between objects, space and audiences.

Hello,
Tomorrow morning at 11 you are required at LCC for a talk by CurrentTv people, but after that you are required to meet us.
At 1pm prompt you must all be outside Peckham Library. Buses go from Elephant and Castle - 12, 171, 343, etc or you could get the overground to Peckham Rye and walk up.
From here we will be out and about for most of the afternoon so bring a good pair of shoes and money for a kit kat. Please also bring your sketchbooks / anything else you have been working on.
If there are any questions, email us: patandtrevor@googlemail.com.
See you tomorrow,

JOE & JIMMY - WEEK 1 - RESEARCH
Hello
As we mentioned yesterday, the first week of this project is all about research.
We would like you to visit as many galleries / project spaces as possible.
This should be fun.
There are hundreds of spaces in London so you'll have to be selective and make the most of your time. When you are in these places you should ask questions, tell them Pat And Trevor sent you, have conversations and consider what you as a group would do with the space.
Our only stipulation is that, as a group, you must document everywhere you go AND everything you see, as you go along. Be as inventive as possible with this - consider video / sound / drawing / collage / diary / online. This will help you develop a style for your group.
This blog should be used as a resource for sharing things that you find. A notice board of ideas, listings and collaborations. Additionally to this, you are expected to begin a sketchbook.
You have 6 days to do this before we meet again next Monday. We will specify a time and place on this blog site.
If you have any questions, please post these on the blog.
**Please Remember**
When you post on the blog, the post title should begin with the name of your group - this will make it easier to follow everyone.
